LG’s Q3 earnings report shows signs of recovery for mobile division

Snapdragon 875 could be 25% faster than its predecessor, leaked AnTuTu result shows

The Snapdragon 875 chipset is code-named “Lahaina” and it may be significantly faster than expected – an early benchmark shows a score of over 847,000 points in AnTuTu. This is much higher than its predecessor, which currently tops the charts with 663,000 points or so. That’s a jump of over 25%, a huge leap for a yearly upgrade. Pixel 5 gets mediocre 120 points in DxOMark test

Google Pixel 5’s main camera uses the Sony IMX363 – the same sensor that the Pixel 3 and 4 used. And it’s lacking the Pixel Neural Core as apparently the Snapdragon 765G has enough processing power to handle the Google algorithms that are behind the success of the Pixel cameras. Amazfit unveiled the second generation GTR and GTS smart watches and among their upgrades was REM detection. REM sleep is essential for a good night’s rest, this update will improve the sleep analysis performed by the watch. FT: companies can resume supplying Huawei with smartphone components

The siege on Huawei may be easing off a bit – at least as far as its mobile division is concerned. The Financial Times reports that companies will be able to supply Huawei with components for non-5G uses.
